VNS surgery on PURPLE DAY!

It's been quite busy around here.  On Tuesday, Mia had VNS surgery done.  Click HERE to find out more details on this amazing device.   Mia still struggles with having many seizures per month.  They have been happening every 4-5 days on average.  Unfortunately, the keto diet and Onfi haven't been enough to keep seizures at bay.   We're hoping that this may be something that will help Mia in many ways.  It may take months to know if this will work or not for her.  As all of our fellow epilepsy families know.... it's all about waiting!

Speaking of epilepsy families.... Tuesday was a very special day.  It was PURPLE DAY!
I know this is a few days late, but I wanted to send a special message to other families who deal with all that comes with epilepsy.  You are all in our hearts!!!

The months are moving along and we continue on our journey with battling seizures.... We continue to persevere, struggle, triumph and keep HOPE alive!

Mia is recovering well from her VNS placement.  Thank you to all of our friends and family for your continued prayers, comfort and love!  It means so much to us and was especially felt this week!!

Here are a few pics from Tuesday:

Happy Spring everyone!  Only 8 more months until our venture to "4 Paws"!  :)
