I checked in today with Karen Shirk (founder of 4 Paws for Ability) about our latest total from our fundraising efforts. It's been a few months since I've checked in.
Our total has gone up to:
$ 24, 864!!
I was just blown away by the kindness of family, friends and complete strangers in helping us fund a trained service dog for Mia!
I've been asked by many people where the remainder of our money goes... since we've met our $13,000 goal.
All extra money raised goes towards helping other children in the process of fundraising. The extra money may help more than one child finish their goal. How amazing is that?!
I can't express our gratitude towards everyone who has been a part of our journey this year!! We are so excited for finishing up 2013 in Ohio meeting our dog and bringing him home for Christmas!!
